This print is a mixture of two wishes that we had to accomplish: playing with sharp shapes debosses using varnish, and making our small and personal tribute to Wes Anderson’s film.
Simplifying to the limit the face of the main character we achieved what we wanted, an orange basis that wouldn’t be anything without the touch of the debosses and the varnish, that give the final shape and the whole character to the print.
We decided to represent our most special moment of the movie, when after endless unfortunate events Mr. Fox finds reasons to make a toast in a shining supermarket.
“…I guess my point is, we’ll eat tonight, and we’ll eat together. And even in this not particularly flattering light, you are without a doubt the five and a half most wonderful wild animals I’ve ever met in my life. So let’s raise our boxes — to our survival.”
We salute this attitude!
